HuskyCaucasian
So, for those who have watched it, what do you think so far? I'm not too into it... but I love the set. BUT, I remember the early Conan years and that was some rough stuff and he's really good now. So, who knows.
Goober
I finally got to see it last night and I give it a thumbs up overall. Yeah, there's some awkwardness but his wit is quick enough that it's funny
SoxFan562004
maybe because I expected a complete trainwreck and didn't get that, I give it a slight thumbs up. The parody of "The Hills" made me laugh
Y2HH
It's not bad, but let's be real. Fallon replacing Conan is akin to the 2006 White Sox replacing the 2005 White Sox.
HuskyCaucasian
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 10, 2009 -> 04:06 PM) It's not bad, but let's be real. Fallon replacing Conan is akin to the 2006 White Sox replacing the 2005 White Sox. oh no doubt. and it takes a long time to define your "Style". What you think works as a joke, might not play with an audience. So, over time, you tweak and refine.

Steve9347
He's got funny standup, but he wasn't very funny on SNL and I don't think he's a very good interviewer. Time will tell though.
whitesoxfan99
The episodes I watched last week were pretty horrible.
Cali
Waaaay too early to tell. Give him at least a year before we see what he's all about...
CanOfCorn
That may be true...but Fallon comes from a more traditional performance background. Whereas Conan was more of a writer/improv. Conan could be whoever he wanted to be because no one knew who he was. Fallon is pretty well known, so his leash is probably going to be shorter. The key to this show will be to carve it's own audience rather than trying to placate to Conan's. That, IMO, would be his biggest mistake. greasywheels121
I DVR'd a couple episodes last week and am doing the same this week. I liked what I saw so far. I love the Roots as his band.
3E8
The first episode wasn't great, but DeNiro is notorious for bad interviews. Jimmy's interview with Cameron Diaz cracked me up, and playing beer pong with Serena Williams was cool. I can see a lot of potential for this show, I'm glad we'll have Jimmy and Conan each day
Y2HH
Personally, I hope Fallon succeeds. I've always liked him but he picked some pretty bad roles in movies (aside from his Boston Red Sox movie), I thought that was pretty good.

kev211
Last night fallon had the guys from diggnation on. And they are now attempting to make a random audience member last night the most followed guy on twitter which is currently Barack Obama. I think fallon taping into the internet is a great idea. Tons of people there.
