witesoxfan
It snowed like f'ing crazy up there this winter, and now they're feeling it. There's flooding all throughout, including Fargo and Bismarck, and I'm pretty sure I read where Obama said it was in a state of emergency. My house is in part of the possible flood zone, and though we have had none of it yet, my parents did receive a call at 9:30 this morning saying that there was mandatory evacuation. Turns out that was a false alarm, so they're still sitting OK as of right now, but I have no idea what is going to happen in the next week. They apparently blew up some of the ice jams that were along the river, and they believe everything went well, but there's still flooding in quite a few parts of southern Bismarck. I'll try and update this a bit. Keep Little Canada in your prayers.

witesoxfan
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 25, 2009 -> 10:18 PM) God hates the upper Midwest. damn right he does The Missouri River is down like a foot and a half from where it was, so it's looking a lot better right now. They aren't out of the clear yet, and I imagine there's still quite a bit of water hanging around, but it's definitely better. I'm just glad I'm in southeast South Dakota, where I played softball today because it was so nice, rather than in that frigid s***.

southsider2k5
Crazy story. I read where one of the ice dams was the size of a football field.
witesoxfan
Of course Bismarck got another foot of snow last night. I'll try and attach a few pictures in the coming days, it's pretty bad. This stuff is going to have to melt at some point and it's going to be a big f***ing mess when it all does.
