SoxFan1
Per Cowley's Twitter: Despite shaky outings by both Colon and Contreras, Guillen said they are his 4 and 5 starters.

flavum
I should hope Ozzie would say that. They cut the pitching staff down to 12 this morning!

jphat007
Their stuff was solid, but control just not there yet. Not surprising after 8 months away from the mound, but little concerning with only 2 weeks left til they pitch.

Balta1701
If Colon can go in 2 weeks and give us 6 innings, then there's no reason why this isn't the right move. Good to hear they're both considered that healthy.
Chisoxfn
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 04:05 PM) Per Cowley's Twitter: I heard someone talking to Cooper at todays game and he basically said unless they have a hiccup in terms of injuries that those are there guys and they are counting on them. Sounded like we have all our eggs in that basket cause there was no mention of Marquez. Had to leave to drive back home so I didn't get to see Count pitch but watched Colon's pen session and his entire outing and boy was it awful. Princess Dye
Well we know from 2008 that Colon doesnt want to be in a bullpen even for a second. So he's starting or this was a failed signing. Meaning they'll give him any and all breathing room he needs to get it at least mildly together. If they lose a bunch then perhaps they go young earlier but I think BC will have lots of leeway.
