bmags
I'd take him in a heart beat if he could play (like, literally was allowed on the field), but there is no point to sign him if he has to sit out the whole year.
whitesoxbrian
I'd love to have TO or Houshmanzadeh here now, but that isn't going to happen. Maybe next year on TO... But on Plax, if he's cheap, I'd bring him in. He'll probably have to serve a 2-4 game suspension from Goodell but he made Eli a stud when he played and very medicore when he didn't. knightni
I'd like Ocho Cinco from Cincy.
SoxFan562004
QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 6, 2009 -> 07:58 PM) I'd like Ocho Cinco from Cincy. it just seems that Cincy is OK with saying F you to him and making him stay. His best bet to get out is keep his mouth shut and show up for things for awhile Edited April 7, 2009 by SoxFan562004
chw42
Yeah, maybe next year. He'll enjoy 2009 in jail or at home.
Chisoxfn
Holt is going to be the guy, book it.
DrunkBomber
Maybe if Plax signed with the Bears Obama can pardon him because he is a Chicago guy.
MurcieOne
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 04:22 PM) Holt is going to be the guy, book it. I'm behind signing Holt... but I guess the only thing that worries me is how much he has left in the tank. I think the idea of signing a pro bowler like Holt has me super excited but I didn't watch him play much last season... can anyone shed light on this? I think the idea of signing a pro bowler like Holt has me super excited but I didn't watch him play much last season... can anyone shed light on this? His numbers were down relatively significantly, and there is concerns about his knees, though he did manage to play in all 16 games either way. With that said, St. Louis also had a horrid offense, so that needs to be taken in account too. If anything, moving from hard turf to grass should help him out. Chisoxfn
Plus he still had just over 800 receiving yards, which isn't too shabby, imo, given the poor offense the Rams had and the fact that every team was double teaming him.

Well shoot...then maybe we should just sign Rae Carruth! Seriously, TO doesn't have the off-field problems like Plax does, but he does have issues. Bit unstable, if you ask me. Personally, I'd rather have 80% of Holt or Marvin Harrison...if only because they wouldn't come here demanding, well, anything, except a chance. Ron
I'd much rather the Bears get Holt and then get the best available wideout with their 2nd rounder. Avoid Plaxico like the plague.

Kyyle23
QUOTE (ozzfest @ Apr 17, 2009 -> 02:07 AM) bring him in. cutler to plax. music to my ears. almost as musical as "Plax to Jail for 1 year" or "Plax suspended for the first 4-8 games"
whitesoxbrian
I think the Bears will go into the draft with the mindset of "We'll take a WR in round 2". However, if neither of Britt, Nicks, or Robiskie are there, I think they'll go BPA and then sign Holt. I'm beginning to think all this Massaqoui talk is a smokescreen.
