WCSox
I may have missed an earlier thread that discussed this issue, but what's with the lack of home team coverage? I haven't been able to get The Score's radiocast on Gameday Audio yet this year. Anybody know what the deal is?
ScottyDo
I'm listening to the Score broadcast on mlb.com right now
Balta1701
I loaded it and it was silent for about 5 minutes and then it popped in all of a sudden. I had some difficulty with it yesterday too on other games.
WCSox
I've listened to about five or six ST games this year, and haven't even seen WSCR as an option on the menu. Same deal today. Went to WSCR's web site a couple minutes ago to listen live and, as expected, got some talk show. Edited April 7, 2009 by WCSox
WCSox
Alright, so I found that if I access it from the front page, rather than the Scoreboard page, I get a WSCR option. Unfortunately (but not surprisingly), the audio feed is choppy and the volume is unusually low). As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. WCSox
Well, that's good news. Not holding my breath, though, as I remember them having audio quality issues in recent years. We'll see...
Scwible
Speaking of gameday audio, does anyone here have MLB.tv?
Balta1701
QUOTE (WCSox @ Apr 7, 2009 -> 12:33 PM) Well, that's good news. Not holding my breath, though, as I remember them having audio quality issues in recent years. We'll see... It seems like they spent some actual money to improve the audio system this year. I think they'll actually put some effort in to getting it right.
WCSox
Gameday Audio is screwed up again. Not working for either the Sox or Twins radiocasts.
Balta1701
I'm successfully getting the Twins broadcast. Well done MLB. Well done.
WCSox
OK, both radiocasts are now available... 20 minutes after the first pitch. The Score is coming in unusually clear, lacking it's usual "choppiness." QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 01:22 PM) Well done MLB. Well done. No kidding. How many years have they been doing this now? Edited April 11, 2009 by WCSox
TheBlackSox8
TVants software about halfway down is the whitesox game. gets choppy and buffers a lot...but you get to watch the game if you don't get the fox broadcast
WCSox
And after six solid innings, The Score's feed is choppy again. WTF??? How difficult is it to stream a radio signal over the Internet with halfway decent quality? Individual radio stations do a better job over their own web sites than MLB. And it's not like this is MLB's first season of providing this service. I'm glad that I only paid $15 for this.
WCSox
The game has officially started, yet I can't access the radiocasts of either team. My only option is Chicago's Spanish station. WTF, MLB???
Balta1701
QUOTE (WCSox @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 02:48 PM) The game has officially started, yet I can't access the radiocasts of either team. My only option is Chicago's Spanish station. WTF, MLB??? Seems there's nothing currently offered for this game, that'd be my guess.
WCSox
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 02:59 PM) Seems there's nothing currently offered for this game, that'd be my guess. I'm surprised that I can listen to the game over the Spanish station, but not either of the English "flagship" stations. Therefore, it doesn't seem to be a licensing issue. Somebody appears to have just dropped the ball... again.
WCSox
Well, it's finally working. Only took two full innings this time. :oldrolleyes Looks like they have some high school kids working over there...
