Gameday Audio

I may have missed an earlier thread that discussed this issue, but what's with the lack of home team coverage? I haven't been able to get The Score's radiocast on Gameday Audio yet this year. Anybody know what the deal is?

I've listened to about five or six ST games this year, and haven't even seen WSCR as an option on the menu. Same deal today. Went to WSCR's web site a couple minutes ago to listen live and, as expected, got some talk show.

Alright, so I found that if I access it from the front page, rather than the Scoreboard page, I get a WSCR option. Unfortunately (but not surprisingly), the audio feed is choppy and the volume is unusually low). As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

From the Gameday Audio help forums. They're aware of the complaints. That's something.

Well, that's good news. Not holding my breath, though, as I remember them having audio quality issues in recent years. We'll see...

It seems like they spent some actual money to improve the audio system this year. I think they'll actually put some effort in to getting it right.

OK, both radiocasts are now available... 20 minutes after the first pitch. The Score is coming in unusually clear, lacking it's usual "choppiness."

Well done MLB. Well done.

No kidding. How many years have they been doing this now?

And after six solid innings, The Score's feed is choppy again. WTF??? How difficult is it to stream a radio signal over the Internet with halfway decent quality? Individual radio stations do a better job over their own web sites than MLB. And it's not like this is MLB's first season of providing this service.

I'm glad that I only paid $15 for this.

The game has officially started, yet I can't access the radiocasts of either team. My only option is Chicago's Spanish station. WTF, MLB???

Seems there's nothing currently offered for this game, that'd be my guess.

I'm surprised that I can listen to the game over the Spanish station, but not either of the English "flagship" stations. Therefore, it doesn't seem to be a licensing issue. Somebody appears to have just dropped the ball... again.

Well, it's finally working. Only took two full innings this time. :oldrolleyes

Looks like they have some high school kids working over there...

We are having problems posting the links. I apologize for the delay.
