Currently listening to Chris Rongey on radio and watching Dan Roan on TV..... lock thread if i'm wrong on this, but isnt it true that they're both Cub fans?

sure CPS is underfunded on the southside but c'mon !

If all goes well, I could be interning at WGN, so I'll make sure to hault this problem.

Rongey is a Cardinals fan...

He'd be the last person to like the Cubs lol.

Don't know about Roan though.

I believe Rongey is a Cardinals fan but regardless of his fandom (which is truly irrelevant) he's turned into a very good voice for White Sox radio. He knows his s*** and I think genuinely wants the Sox to succeed even if the fans will eventually turn him bat-s*** crazy.

Ah ok, not sure where i thought i had heard that about rongey

Still though, lets get a sox fan in there.

Chris Rongey is definitely a WhiteSox fan.

He covers the WhiteSox for WSCR.

He's been the host of WhiteSox Weekly for the last couple of years.

And he's been doing post-game radio breakdowns of the games; interviews with all the players, coaches, etc., etc.

Has been a sub in the radio booth during games...

How could anybody say he's not a WhiteSox fan?

apparently rongey himself. i think it's one thing if he's like "sox are my AL team"

but we all know that fandom means you have one and live and die for em.

I do agree with the above poster that notes how a reporter's fandom should be irrelevant with regard to their ability to do their job.

Ranger is a Cardinals fan who is a White Sox excuse maker. He had the same act way into the immortal 2007 season, like the 3rd week in September.

Roan is a Cubs fan but does a lot of coverage on the Sox for WGN. Rich King is the other WGN sports anchor and he is a Sox fan.

Rongey likes the Cubs, but overall really isnt a sports guy. He got into radio and was placed into this role and is trying to make the best of it.

Because he's not. Its his job and he's trying to do well and move up in the business.
