scenario
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 9, 2009 -> 09:21 PM) Kanny: Won 1-0 in 10 innings. Tyler Kuhn with the RBI. Pitchers held Asheville to 2 hits. And Kannapolis pitchers struck out 14 and walked 2. Pretty impressive.

flavum
That was a bunt single for Beckham. The pitcher slipped and fell coming off the mound.
flavum
Brandon Allen would have had a 2-run homer if not for the wind. Instead, a double scoring Beckham. Edited April 10, 2009 by flavum

southsideirish71
Thats a pretty tough break. Flowers walks, makes 3rd on a failed pickoff. Then Allen Ks, Flowers gets thrown out on the FC at home. Viciedo then Ks for the third time tonight.

scenario
Leadoff walk by Gartrell puts the winning run on 1st with none out. Then a balk moves Gartell to 2nd. Edited April 10, 2009 by scenario
southsideirish71
The lookouts have had balk issues all night long. Gartrell walks, then balks into 2nd.
flavum
No, actually it would be more fitting if Retherford ended it.

Jordan4life_2007
Is it me or is this the most enthusiastic/exciting minor league game thread in Soxtalk history?
caulfield12
Really more excited about the future of the White Sox than the current team. Of course I will watch all the big league team's games that I can, but it's more fun to think about putting all the pieces together of a much different team that has the potential to win another World Series. And that BIRM team, if it stays intact for at least 3-4 months...is going to put up some insane offensive statistics. With our dead-in-the-water offense up north, we all need something to give us some hopefulness. Having the Twins come into town will bring out the best in our team (at home) as it usually does. Even though the Royals are BETTER, they're just not really a rival of ours in the same way the MIN and CLE and sometimes DET are/is.
