You're lacking a closer or two and you're thin in starting pitching. I like your OF but trading Lincecum and Manny in separate trades to improve your pitching depth and overall infield couldn't hurt. justBLAZE Posted May 3, 2009 Author Share Posted May 3, 2009 I just added Trevor Hoffman, my pitching currently sits like this: Lincecum, DiceK, Cueto, Gavin Floyd, Edwin Jackson, Joe Saunders, Paul Maholm, Mike Pelfrey, Trevor Hoffman, Ching-Ming Wang on DL, and David Price on the bench. I'm able to carry 9 pitchers on the active roster. Should I take a chance with Matt LaPorta? My outfield right now is Manny, Tori Hunter, Ryan Ludwick, Denard Span, and Jordan Schafer, the last two contribute the least out of the 5. knightni Posted May 3, 2009 Share Posted May 3, 2009 Schafer is not that great of a fantasy player yet. He doesn't steal enough and he Ks too much. If you want to pick up LaPorta for him, you can; but I don't know how well LaPorta will do versus mlb pitching. He could be great, he could be average, he could be Russell Branyan.
