DaTank
I just got to thinking, what type of ball player would I be if I were one. I'm just wondering what kind of comparisons people will throw out there. Mine are as follows: Pitching: Probably a closer. Bobby Jenks type? I'm a little on the hefty side at 6'0 and 210. Nowhere near Bobby, however, lol. Position player: 1B/DH/Corner OF power-hitting type. I'll also throw catcher out there as I used to catch (catcher would be really pushing it for me now). I can play above average defense and am a naturally born right-handed hitter but I now hit left-handed sometimes in pickup games and fooling around. Lance Berkman type as a switch-hitter/Justin Morneau type strictly as a right-handed type (yeah, I know he's a lefty). Have fun with this.

lostfan
Middle infielder or center fielder, good contact ability, limited power (probably would bat 2nd, or 6th), good baserunner, decent stealing technique. Probably a supersub type. Based off what kind of player I actually was when I played. Edited April 12, 2009 by lostfan

Kenny Hates Prospects
I was a pitcher so I'd be a junkballing righty who would do stupid things to try to get an edge like make up new pitch grips in the middle of an AB. I'd end up throwing 50mph looping trash at the backstop, into the dugout, and directly at whoever stood in the on-deck circle. I'd love to play for the Cubs or Twins. whitesoxbrian
Someone beat me to it- limited power, good contact, good eye, probably would hit 2, 6, or 7.

maggsmaggs
Placido Polanco. I was always a great defensive second baseman, walked a lot, didn't K much, but had little power.

SouthsideDon48
Pitcher: As a pitcher, I'd more than likely would be a right-handed relief pitcher with a similar wind-up to Matt Thornton but with more arm movement with my left gloved arm. I wouldn't be a finese pitcher or a power pitcher, instead, I'd be the type of pitcher that gets by mostly on guts and guile. Body-wise, I'd prolly look similar in body shape to Eddie Guardado or someone like that, not too fat and not skinny either at 5'9 180 lbs. I also like throwing 2-finger fastballs, forkballs, and sliders a lot. I can also see myself being a relief pitcher for an often-maligned team, like the Kansas City Royals. Positional player: I'm a switch-hitter that would prolly be best at playing the infield at either 2nd or 3rd base. I don't have agood throwing arm from the outfield, so that ought to be out of the question. Also, when I hit, I'm always aware of the situation, so I'd be a big situational hitter that wouldn't always be going up there with the mentality of trying to hit the ball out of the ballpark. I'd have no problem laying down a bunt to move batters over. I'd probably be an ideal batter for a team like the Twins. zenryan
A 3rd base version of Marcus Giles. I'm only 5'9 but I had pretty good pop.

witesoxfan
I would literally be Albert Pujols, but better. Barry Bonds could not hold my jock strap. I gave up the game because I would have done too much, and I wanted to leave that to mortal people.

earthshiner
I'd be a utility player. I can play all over but much better suited on the corners. Defense was my strength and I could not hit much. I was not much of a contact hitter but I walked a lot. I think one year I had around a .200 BA but had an obp over .500.
