BigSqwert
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 09:10 AM) Anyone know what kind of velocity he had? Fastball clocked at 94. Changeup of 83. Even had a sharp biting knuckler.

Balta1701
QUOTE (maki @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 08:50 AM) i watched the YES feed on MLB Network and they never showed a gun. looked to be low-mid 70s. Could have swore MLBtv had a gun for a pitch last night and he was in the mid-upper 80's.
JorgeFabregas
I believe a gun has him at 84 or something like that in one of the clips. Edit: Clip I posted showed 77, 79, and 80. Edited April 14, 2009 by JorgeFabregas
Kalapse
His average pitch was 75 MPH with a top speed of 80 MPH.
ScottyDo
That video clip was full of bad signs for the yankees! i love it! and i still love swish even if his stay was less than successful
daa84
the departures of crede and swisher really point out how the city felt about those guys...IMO crede got just tons of credit for being a below average player in his time here, and nobody got less credit for hitting 25 HR with a respectable OBP while playing adequate defense at a huge position of need than nick swisher....i mean even in crede's best season (2006) he wasn't THAT much better than the 1 season swisher was here...and in every other year crede was here, a legit arguement can be made that he was worse than swisher was last year Edited April 14, 2009 by daa84
WinningUgly85
Ha the one that got away. Seriously who knew?
Chisoxfn
Swisher got the Sox Viciedo. Nuff said. Obviously, Swisher will be much better than last year and far more in line with his career averages. I'd also say that he'd look really good in CF right now. However, I don't fault the Sox from moving them but clearly it was a deal that didn't work out for the Sox (since I'd rather have Sweeney and Viciedo (had we never made the deal, the Sox would have had money for Viciedo). But I loved the move at the time and no one knew how awful Swish would be last year.
kwolf68
Swisher will eventually be back to the comfy confines of the sub .250 hitters.
