I never thought I would say this...But the Bartolo Colon addition has been a bust. This is easily his worst year in the last 5 atleast. But can we really be surprised...Either pitchers that were good then come to the Sox start to suck... or pitchers who sucked, then leave the sox all of a sudden get good...

These players are passionless. Even the new ones. It starts at the top. We need Jerry manuel OUT :fyou

More than Manuel being ousted, I really think JR needs to give up his share of the team. He's pushed away many fans and run this franchise into the ground. It's time to hear him say, "I've sold the team." If it really seemed like he was trying to better the franchise, I think (I stress the word 'think') I could deal with him being owner, but he has gone well out of his way to destroy this franchise and it is time for him to move on to something else.

This is the only thing that gives me any solace from yesterday is the fact that we scored 9 runs after being down 9-1.

Against Detroit pitching. If we're down 9-1 to any team BUT Detroit, you can forget about scoring 8 more runs during the course of the game. And if I'm not mistaken, weren't ALL runs last night courtesy of the HR? Crede solo HR, Olivo 3-run HR, Lee 3-run HR, Everett a solo HR..... that's 8 of our nine runs that I can come up with because, quite frankly, I wasn't paying attention. I noticed after we were down 5-1, every Sox player started swinging for the fence like it was HR Derby. At least some got to pad their stats last night. Too bad the stat that really matters is W-L  .

your right killa.. if not for the homers we would have not scored.. and those rbi's would have been left stranded........small ball.. where has jm's like for the small ball gone?????? it sure isnt here.. and thats what is killing us with teams like detroit and tampa bay who rely on it because they dont have the line up filled with homerun sluggers.......we have got to get back to hit em in and get em over.. ive been saying that all season and its not happened yet.......

The fact that we actually scored 9 runs and was 1 run away from tying it pissed me off even more. If they're gonna lose, at least lose mercifully by getting blown out. If they scattered all those 9 runs through their other games, they would be in first place right now. And to think, if our f***ing bullpen had given up just 1 run less, we had a chance to win this game.

But I guess baseball doesnt work that way and hindsight is 20/20.

Watch us get shut out today. :fyou
