yeah, Oz and Herm just pulled him without really looking at him or talking to him, so hopefully since it was 6-0 they weren't taking any chances

Probably to get some ice on it and try to reduce the swelling.

Luckily it hit on the top of the hand, but they really need to give him some additional non-cumbersome protection for at least the wrist and that exposed part of his hand....since he gets hit so many times.

Quentin breaks his hand and our season is essentially over. Plus, it was the same hand he had problems with last year.

White Sox's Quentin suffers bruise on left hand, no x-rays yet

By Mark Gonzales

BALTIMORE - White Sox left fielder Carlos Quentin suffered a bruise on his left hand after getting hit by a pitch from Baltimore pitcher Jim Johnson.

Quentin, who left in the eighth inning of the Sox's 6-2 loss as a precautionary measure, will be re-evaluated Friday. X-rays will be taken if necessary.

"I'll be fine," Quentin said before heading to the showers after the game

Well, with the way he's on top of the plate and how he leans in when he's about to swing, he's gonna get plunked a lot. Especially now that I think pitchers are realizing that going inside on Quentin is probably the best method of getting him out.

Harrelson pointed this out last night...hang out over the plate and they're going to attack you inside or hit you, although a lot of umpires are more afraid to call inside strikes for this very same reason, it precipitates lots of beanballs and confrontations with other teams.

Players like Lillibridge and Fields, you attack them outside, as they did with Fields last night.

BREAKING NEWS: Carlos Quentin has a slight fracture in his left hand which will promptly put him on the 15 day disable list. No timetable is set on his return. Ozzie Guillen is leaning towards Jerry Owens as his left fielder and leadoff hitter.

April 24- Carlos Quentin will be just fine with rest, cause he's god and can never be punished.
