You have to respect food that fights back, especially food that fights back coming and going. Good Thai panang curry prepared "Thai hot" is my Achilles heel. I order it so hot I sweat and get an endorphin rush that is euphoric to the point of being nearly hallucinogenic. But boy do I pay the price for it the next day.
