fathom
Wow, a great 7th inning for Contreras! His command of his fastball after the 1st inning was easily the best it's been all year. That's very encouraging, no matter what the outcome is today.
scenario
Whatever problem Jose had with his release point before today seems to be corrected. Very nice to see. Edited April 26, 2009 by scenario
Kyyle23
QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 07:26 AM) I think the Count goes 6 strong innings and turns it over to the pen today. That is, if they actually get the game in close enough
fathom
Lillibridge looking like a pitcher during that AB, and Fields swing is just way off right now. It's not compact at all.
fathom
Fields strikes out again. Him batting 2nd against RHP is just not going to work. Hopefully Alexei picks it up and could move into that spot.

fathom
What the hell? Terrible pitch, 0-2 fastball right down the plate. We've thrown Rolen fastballs all series, and he's a pathetic offspeed hitter. I'm 100 pct convinced that Corky Miller is a better game caller than AJP. Capn12
Very winnable game, and Contreras pitched average enough, but we can't come through.

Or do you see some team breaking away? It will be a 5 game, as Cleveland's not bad. After 3 weeks, I think the Tigers have the best team in the AL Central. Galarraga is proving last year wasn't a fluke, and their bullpen is significantly better this year (as is their defense).

Or do you see some team breaking away? I see it staying like this for most of the season until one team decides to get hot down the stretch. As they say, playing .500 ball until the ASG is the first goal, get hot after that and it'll be the difference in the division.
