caulfield12
Konerko is the anti-Dye with RISP. He's really picked up the team quite a bit this year with 2 outs. Nice job, Paulie. Let's get this game and bear down for the King Felix/Danksie match-up.
Balta1701
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 03:32 PM) I'm telling you, all signs point to us scoring many runs today. If Colon keeps pitching like this, and we've got Danksy going tonight...I'll be content with a few more.
fathom
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 10:32 PM) I'm telling you, all signs point to us scoring many runs today, assuming our 8-9-1 don't f*** it up. Much like Jim Thome against a pitcher like Russ Ortiz, I think Quentin would go 6-10 with 3 homers against this guy.
qwerty
Ernie bowman has the most at-bats in history (125) with batting average>obp... in 1962 his average was .184 while his obp was .181.

Kalapse
I looked it up. Thome is swinging at an inordinate amount of 1st pitches this year (up to 38%, 25% for his career). He's 1-9 when he puts the first pitch in play.

Kalapse
Bart looks dominant. Both of his starts at home have been impressive. (thus far)
fathom
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 10:37 PM) I looked it up. Thome is swinging at an inordinate amount of 1st pitches this year (up to 38%, 25% for his career). He's 1-9 when he puts the first pitch in play. Crazy stat...as of last weekend, J.J. Hardy hadn't swung at a first pitch all year.

caulfield12
Only 8 pitches that inning. Way to go, Bart. He's really pitched pretty well in 3 of 4 starts, with the exception of the Baltimore game and one pitch by Thornton with the bases loaded against Ben Zobrist. One of the better FA signings (dollar value wise) of the offseason so far by KW.
RockRaines
Bartolo is looking good, but mostly cause these guys arent getting good swings. Our offense looks bored.

southsideirish71
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 05:41 PM) I hate this f***ing lineup, not entertaining in the least. Lillibridge is a strikeout machine. This is like watching an NL game, now because he failed at extending the inning the pitcher must leadoff next inning. fathom
Lillibridge is the perfect September call-up, as he can come off the bench to run or play D in the 9th. However, having him on the 25 man roster is just insane and pathetic. Tough inning coming up for Bartolo.
