Bmr31
That this DA is in way over his head here..? http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-l...ov=ap&type=lgns Yeah i agree. For the record, i think they are gonna drop charges. I dont know if Kobe is guilty or not, but Kobe is a star. The fact that they waited this long shows how afraid they are to prosecute. No way it happens. Is it unfair? Hell yeah.
Spiff
I said this at least a week ago. The cops f***ed up arresting him before they knew what they had, and now they've been scrambling to find evidence, and they won't find it. The DA really couldn't help it, though bet the cops are gonna catch hell.

But for the evidence.. seems both of them went to the hospital to give some "vital" medical evidence..?? I could care less what happened in that room. If it was criminal, hopefully he'll get what he deserves. On the civil end of things I hope his wife has his balls tightly in a vice

Now i believe Kobe may have actually done something wrong. As with OJ, the cops f***ed it all up and he will get away with it. They will drop the charges this afternoon. CubKilla
though bet the cops are gonna catch hell. Why? Someone obviously implicated Bryant..... be it the victim or another one of the partiers. The cops just need probable cause to arrest. Cops do not need absolute knowledge of Bryants guilt or innocence. Could it have been done better? Absolutely. Hindsight is 20/20 but I would have, if I was a police officer working this case, requested an arrest warrant for Bryant at the very least. Now..... if Bryant was asked to come to CO for questioning and he refused or if he lawyered up (which is probably the case and the cops wouldn't be able to gain one iota of evidence anyway) then the cops did the right thing by arresting Bryant with the evidence they had. There is alot in this case that has yet to come out.
Steff
There is alot in this case that has yet to come out. Truer words could not have been spoken. Obviously something happened in that room. My initial thoughts behind the post are that the DA just does not have any idea what his little town is in for.

I'm not saying the cops were 100% wrong, I'm saying the D.A. is going to be pissed for the way he's going to look in the media, because ultimately it falls on his shoulders. So right or wrong I think the officers are going to hear about it (or have heard about it) from him. When you make an arrest this big, IMO it is worth the extra time to be sure. I don't think Bryant refused to cooperate at all, they told him they were gonna arrest him so he came back to let them. I don't sense much in the way of obstruction but like you said there's a lot we don't know.
