StrangeSox
QUOTE (G&T @ May 1, 2009 -> 07:20 PM) I'm watching the Ranger's feed, but is the answer Nolan Ryan? It was "how many times have the sox been no-hit" I hit reply as Quentin was getting his hit and breaking up the no-no.

fathom
Ugh...I wish Betemit was our DH for an extended period. As the season goes on, Thome should become our #2 hitter. It really seems like batting 2nd has totally altered Fields approach for the worst. Time for him to go to the #7 spot in this order and start hitting the ball with authority. G&T
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 1, 2009 -> 08:22 PM) It was "how many times have the sox been no-hit" I hit reply as Quentin was getting his hit and breaking up the no-no. Oh. Well apparently this is the anniversary of Ryan's 7th no hitter. So I figured that was the answer.
fathom
QUOTE (lostfan @ May 2, 2009 -> 12:18 AM) I can, because he sucked horribly. Oh please, no one likes a reclamation project more than KW. KW has tried for years to get Jones. It's too bad we didn't have the chance for Cooper to fix him.

Like Jeff Nelson and Esteban Loaisa, Roberto Alomar twice, Sandy Alomar Jr. 3 times. Apparently, Jones was or at least is fixable.

fathom
Dye seems like the easiest out in baseball if you can get him to a 3-2 count. His K to BB ratio is Daniel Hudson-esque this year.
