TomPickle
QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:20 PM) So Dye got hit by a pitch? How bad did it look? It looked bad and sounded worse. Dye was on the ground for quite some time holding his hand.
Kalapse
QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:20 PM) I love some Christopher Getz. Kalapse, please suggest the Joshua Fields run into one here. Perhaps Carlos could put us within a run.

kapkomet
QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:14 PM) Well he isn't so he shouldn't be. But on national sports shows? Pretty often when they talk about infielders. ok, but when you talk about the average this guy hits for - and no it's not the park in his case, IMO. Power? Sure. But not so much average. fathom
Well, that's just terrible news about Dye. I'd actually be interested in moving Quentin to RF, Fields to LF, and Betemit to 3B. We can't go with Pods in RF and Phillips or Kroeger in LF.

Heads22
Why pitch to Thome whatsoever when his protection in the lineup with two outs is Brent Lillibridge?

Buehrle>Wood
I couldn't see where Fields was at but it seems Cox is way too f***ing conservative.
Baines3
We're closing the gap down 9-6 in the top of the 7th.

Kalapse
QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:23 PM) ok, but when you talk about the average this guy hits for - and no it's not the park in his case, IMO. Power? Sure. But not so much average. He's a singles hitter with very little plate discipline, no real power and awful road splits. He's making at least twice as much as he should and has very low value at a power position like 3B (though the Rangers lineup more than makes up for it.) He's a very nice player to have in your lineup but he's no where near a top tier offensive talent. I'd say that he has very poor range in the infield but I have a hunch you'd dispute that. Kalapse
It's always sad when AA players are asked to produce at the major league level. Poor, poor Lilly Bridge.
kapkomet
QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:29 PM) Brent Lillibridge is just terrible. Exactly. Yet another POS scrub on our roster. scenario
QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:25 PM) LMAO. Josh can't run. We need another one here. Josh actually runs pretty well. What I can't understand is Cox's decision making process. He'll send a guy like AJ or Thome when it's obviously not a good idea... And he holds up Getz and Fields when sending them seems like a no-brainer. WTH?

greg775
The Lillibridge experiment has to end. He is not a big leaguer. Yet another guy who has to go. Just cut him loose. He can't hit a baseball. Are we all unanimous on this??? GET RID OF HIM.

He's worse than Joey Cora was. Also, our bunting and base running has gotten worse since Cox took over.
