Jimbo's Drinker
Jose Contreras is guaranteed just one more start, according to manager Ozzie Guillen. Contreras, 0-4 with a 8.31 ERA, will pitch Thursday against the Tigers. If he struggles once again, he will be kicked to the bullpen. But at this point, there isn't a clear choice to replace him in the rotation. Clayton Richard is an option, but not a great one. Stay tuned
ThunderBolt
Hi, my name is Aaron Poreda. You may remember me from such films as i'm a top prospect, who almost made the team in spring, who just threw a five-inning no-hitter, and is a Lefty who tops out at 97. Sooner the kid perfects that slider, the sooner we can get him up here. He's working with Perdew, Correct?

G&T
QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 4, 2009 -> 08:04 PM) Catfish threw a chicken slider, best I ever seen. Well the chicken slider era was totally different than the non-chicken slider era. Truly, one of baseball's lost arts.

fathom
Clayton Richard would be the replacement starter, especially after a solid outing tonight.
flavum
I was going to say...Carlos Torres. His ERA is 0.96. I'd give him a shot. They have room on the 40-man. He's earned a chance.

Capn12
Contreras could be dominant, and it wouldnt matter with the cesspool of has-beens and never-will-be's we are running out in CF and RF.
daggins
He could be dominant, but he sucks. Thats why we have a thread discussing replacement options.

KW should have predicted his 2 top CF options would both suffer completely random injuries in the first month of the season.
