ThunderBolt
Has anyone else noticed Fields gradually reverting to his old straight-up batting stance? He had this very Quentin-like thing going on when he was hot, adn it seems to have fallen by the wayside. Great nights for the bullpen and Big Jim. caulfield12
Ozzie, you have to play Betemit tomorrow at 3B, except you won't do it because it's a LH going, so hopefully not another hat trick. It sucks to have to play Pods and Lillibridge against a LHP. Maybe they could try Betemit at 3B with Ramirez at SS and Nix in CF, lol. Or Ramirez in CF with Nix at SS...doesn't matter. Great games from Thome, Corky Miller and DJ Carrasco. DJ might even end up getting the start next time around, wouldn't be surprised.
Heads22
I really thought DJ would have a bad year. He's been very, very good.

I almost positive he would. (though I dunno if it'll be at 3B) I don't think he knows that Betemit really isn't as good vs lefties yet.
BearSox
Right now, which is the more appealing option... Ramirez at SS and Nix/Betemit at 3B, or Nix at SS with Fields at 3B? I gotta go with Ramirez at SS with Nix/Betemit at 3B. At least Ramirez can hit a fastball and won't K a ton, and adds more speed, and you don't really lose anything on D. greg775
Since there's no winner thread ... Nice job Sox in finally destroying a crummy pitcher. Is Nix a good player? Signs are fairly positive. Another homer? Jimmy, way to go. Finally a Sox player destroys his old team. Seems like it's often the other way around. Maybe Lillibridge should try to miss the ball and he might hit it. Can we keep winning w/out Carlos? Hope so. He actually needed some time off heel or no heel. His slump has sucked. Backup catcher gets 2 hits? Wow. Nice. Pitching good enough. Let's beat Cliff Lee!
