Blow it up, dump the veterans, rebuild. My only hope with this is also my only fear and here's what I mean. My hope is the division is bad and thus we have a shot, my fear is the division is bad and KW will not trade off some of our veteran parts for return items even though we're bad.

Positives:

- Richard pitched well

- Did not get shut out

- Had more than 5 hits

- Did not allow Richmond to pitch a CG

- Multiple stolen bases

- Limited amount of times we looked comical in the field to less than 3

Negatives:

- We did not have an off day today, and therefore had to play a baseball game

- Everything else

Make someone accountable!! No one loses their job, no one loses their starting spot (for more than 2 games). I've never seen a team that is so scared to shake things up. Maybe it's because the coaching staff is too close or the veterans are too scared to make a recommendation. I am interested in seeing the boo-fest tomorrow at the Cell.

Didn't see the game till the 8th, but it looks like my boy Clayton Richard was better than most of our starters in this road trip.

He was very good today. He nipped the strike zone a bit, but at least challenged hitters and had a plan.

What the hell is with our advanced scouting? Before anything concerning Walker or the personnel someone needs to look into the people who should be providing scouting reports on pitchers never seen. This is god damn inexcusable.

Been that way for a few years now it seems.

You are right, and it's sad. It's sad that i've reached the acceptance stage of 2009 being a failure this early. It's sad our major league roster is so bereft of talent (although I see a lot of hope and promise in our minor league system), it's sad nobody is held accountable, and it's sad our team is going to probably finish in 4th place in front of an empty ballpark this year. I'm not a fan of booing the home team, but if people boo tomorrow, I can't blame them.

Maybe Cito Gaston was the right call 5 years ago...........he sees to have not missed a beat.

I won't go that far. Ozzie has won 2 division titles and a World Series in his 5 years here. Besides. like in 2007, I think the problem now is much higher than Ozzie. This is a case of all of our bad drafting, bad player development, and older guys catching up with us in my opinion. At least the system finally seems to be getting itself in order now, but that doesn't help the team playing at The Cell in 2009.

We've been out scouted for years. Steve Stone could probably provide more insight on how to attack opposing hitters as well.

Absolutely...our defensive positioning has also been real poor. I've noticed that Alexei seems to shade everyone up the middle, and then you have our lefty pitchers throwing change-ups to righties and there's easy singles for the opposition into the hole. The worst thing is that's probably 10th on the list of scouting failures.

Josh Fields went 0-for-4 in Monday's loss and is without an extra-base hit since May 5.

He does, however, have 11 strikeouts since then. It's completely unacceptable that Fields has 41 strikeouts and just six extra-base hits in 125 at-bats. The White Sox need to turn third base over to Wilson Betemit and see if it provides a boost.

Josh Fields is a star. Just read Soxtalk 2007 and spring training 2008. He's can't miss. He's twice the player any replacement would be.

I am absolutely apalled with what is going on right now. Its completely unf***ing acceptable. The lack of emotion is worthless and while I'm not going to say the guys don't care, I'm going to say that it certainly looks as lackluster as possible down there and something needs to be done to change it.

Kenny/Ozzie, thats your f***ing job and I as a fan am sick of seeing this s***. I have absolutely zero reason to watch White Sox baseball right now. The few players I do like aren't even playing that good and the team looks dead out there, dead.
