fathom
Seriously, the Padres could be interested in Lillibridge as a final piece of the package (to go along with a big time PTBNL).

Petco would be PERFECT for Lillibridge... /sarcasm.
Heads22
QUOTE (fathom @ May 21, 2009 -> 10:05 AM) That's good to hear. Linebrink is very conservative, and if he can stand Ozzie, then Peavy should be able to also. I think it's funny that Peavy would have even considered Ozzie to be difficult to play with, as he's nothing but great with veterans. We may have overpaid Scott, maybe not, but he's trying his damndest to help us both pitching and selling.

That'd just be a win-win right there. Gain Peavy and officially never see Lillibridge playing CF and batting 2nd for the Sox ever again? rangercal
Did anyone call out the naysayers on the 1st few pages of this thread yet? If he waives his NTC there should be a few apologies and a few courses of crow served.
GoSox05
He was willing to play in the NL central. I think teams in the NL Central have tougher line ups than the AL central.

BearSox
QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ May 21, 2009 -> 10:03 AM) Escobar, Morel, Gilmore.... Edit: Actually, I remember reading about Gilmore after the Vazquez trade and he reminded me a lot of Vitters. I forgot about Escobar. He's very toolsy I've heard, and he can stick at SS. Perhaps he is one of the PTBNL.
Reddy
OK i JUST realized how SICK that makes our rotation (pending Floyd remembering he's a pitcher) Peavy Buehrle Danks Floyd Colon I'm sure this has been talked about in the past 30 pages, but DAMN, that's pretty sick. BigSqwert
Kenny should mention that we will be moving our fences back 5 feet next season..which I would love to see.

Brian
AMazing what can happen, if it happens, so fast. Was at work at 6 and a guy came up and asked if I heard about it. I doubted him but as the day went on, it snowballed. Unreal. Under contract til 2012, correct?
