The way we usually do things, wouldn't be surprised if it is announced at the game during the 7th inning stretch or even post game that he accepted the deal.

Who knows.

the last thing that happened involved in a game I can remember was Canseco's signing

WE KNOW THIS ALREADY

There’s a large contingent on this board that still think it’s a smokescreen, and that the trade is still tentative. It’s not. its final, except for Peavy. Now, anything that Axelrod says about the trade not being done is bulls***, because KW finally came out and confirmed it.

If I was Peavy and/or his agent, I'd certainly give it a shot. Why not?

Anyone know, is it an all-or-nothing sort of deal on the option? Could the two sides compromise, and say, just agree to guarantee more of the money for that year or raise the buyout?

I imagine the AL concerns are at least a bit of a negotiating tactic.

The union watches stuff like that like a hawk, so even if they can, I would think there would have to be a window for the union to approve it

Whomever it is with the "CRAP" signature will sure be pissed if this goes down.

LOL....i'll have to make him a Peavy sig if it happens. I'm a little pissed about it, that's one of the best i've made.
