ThunderBolt
Richard's already responded to the Peavy trade, it's Poreda's turn now.
flavum
Birmingham with the A lineup facing a lefty with a 1.91 ERA. Should be a good matchup.
maggsmaggs
QUOTE (flavum @ May 25, 2009 -> 05:44 PM) Birmingham with the A lineup facing a lefty with a 1.91 ERA. Should be a good matchup. Also the Cubs affiliate, so even more reason to beat him.
flavum
Single for Danks, double for Beckham. 1-
flavum
Tennessee tied up Birmingham. Poreda not real sharp so far. Would have pitched out of it in the first if Retherford would have turned a routine DP. Lost the handle transferring from his glove. 2-2 Edited May 25, 2009 by flavum
flavum
RBI single for Beckham. 3-
Heads22
After all his suck this year, Egbert puts together a nice start, allowing just one unearned run on two hits in five innings.
maggsmaggs
The big five in B-Ham all with hits so far.
maggsmaggs
Poreda settling down after the two-run first. All his outs have been either via the strikeout (4) or groundout (8), which is definitely encouraging for his sinker.

ThunderBolt
QUOTE (scenario @ May 25, 2009 -> 09:07 PM) Charlotte tomahawking the AAA Tribe 11-1 in the 8th. Where did all that offense come from? Lillibridge? Kidding, by the way Gordon Beckham: YOU ARE RIDICULIOUS.
bighurt4life
Beckham officially out of his mini-slump. Nice to see Danks performing well at the higher level. He has increased his walk rate in AA and that's all him too. With Beckham, Flowers and Allen following him in the lineup they can't pitch around him like in A+ so you know he's getting lots of strikes thrown to him but he's just being patient. At W-S he was the only dangerous hitter in the lineup so he was probably pressing trying to hit stuff that was out of the zone. This is just my theory however, pure speculation but makes sense to me. maggsmaggs
Fields with another 0-3, I think Gordo will be called up by Sunday. Prolly wrong, but I feel it.
ThunderBolt
Poreda gets the win tonight. Despite not having his best stuff, he battled through it.
