BearSox
Colon got smoked this inning, but good outing.
fathom
QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 27, 2009 -> 04:55 AM) Not a good pitch call by Corky. That's the pitch Colon goes with whenever he gets 2 strikes on a lefty. He missed his spot by a foot, that's what the problem was.
Harry Chappas
Nix has done more in his limited time this year for this team as Fields and Getz have with much more sporadic time both hitting and with varied positions. No reason why he should not get as good a chance as the other two at this point in time except for who was drafted by the organization.

Abreu is a very good inside hitter though. I understand your logic but for him you either beat him on a high fastball outside or a breaking pitch in the dirt. Harry Chappas
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 26, 2009 -> 10:57 PM) Why is Hawk b****ing about the night game on getaway day? Thursday is an off day. The White Sox don't play home games during the day for every getaway day. He is holding a grudge from a couple of years ago when the Sox had to travel to KC after playing a night game in LA withouthte day off. He really needs to let things go. He complained about it yesterday as well.

qwerty
QUOTE (fathom @ May 26, 2009 -> 10:55 PM) Damn, Abreu just kills us. That was a really, really bad 0-2 pitch. His 1.213 ops (before tonight) against us is his highest against any team he has faced.
SoxAce
Seems like whenever Bartolo leaves an outing with RISP, our bullpen doesn't do the job to leave them stranded. Hopefully Thornton changes that.

SoxFan1
Paulie crushed that one. I REALLY like what he's done this yr. He's much more selective. Takes hits when he can, goes with the pitch, and knows when to go for the long ball. Love it.

SoxAce
Brian with a rough night following his pretty good last two games. He's had some bad luck this game. Gotta say though... as soon as Ozzie returns, of course he'd go hitless.
Harry Chappas
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 26, 2009 -> 11:11 PM) His first 2 out were great swings. The last 2, not so much. The young hitters need more consistency.......I guess that is the epitome of a young hitter. Anderson and Miller are why this game is even a game. I understand Sunday as Linebrink threw two innings Saturday and Dotel had not been used. Maybe it is matchup thing as Dotel can overpower guys.
