WHEN: Monday, June 1, 7:11 p.m. vs. Oakland Value Monday 70’s Night First pitch – Jerel McNeal Join the White Sox for a night of celebrating one of the most memorable decades in American culture – the 70’s. Fans will enjoy a pregame acoustic set by Ides of March. Prior to the game, the winner of the White Sox Guitar Hero contest will face off vs. the winner the of WLUP 97.9 Guitar Hero competition in a game, which will be seen on the video screen in center field. College basketball standout Jerel McNeal, native South Sider and White Sox fan, 2009 Associated Press Second Team All-American, First Team All-Big EAST Conference and Marquette University’s All-Time leading scorer, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Most tickets are half off the regular price. Tuesday, June 2, 7:11 p.m. vs. Oakland Extreme Sports Night The evening features BMX bikers performing jumps and stunts prior to the game on the Gate 5 plaza of the ballpark. Among the professional bikers are Illinois native Kevin Porter and Koji Kraft. Kraft, who is a five-time X-Games athlete, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Wednesday, June 3, 7:11 p.m. vs. Oakland Navy Night First pitch – Michael Clarke Duncan The White Sox welcome all Navy personnel and their families to the 24th Annual Navy Night. During pregame ceremonies, witness the Enlistment Ceremony of the U.S. Navy Chicago White Sox Special Recruit Company. South Side native, White Sox fan and Oscar-nominee Michael Clarke Duncan will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Thursday, June 4, 1:05 p.m. vs. Oakland National Anthem performed by Mary Poppins The cast from the Mary Poppins live musical, which is now playing at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago, will perform the National Anthem. Friday, June 5, 7:11 p.m. vs. Cleveland Noche Orgullo Sox and Postgame fireworks, presented by Comcast and Magnum Insurance First pitch – Janet Murgia, National Council of La Raza Fans are invited to a pre-game Latin music concert at the Gate 5 stage outside of the ballpark. Noche Orgullo Sox will feature Latino-themed activities and specially priced ticket packages, including a special Orgullo Sox t-shirt. President and CEO of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) Janet Murgia will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Fans also will enjoy a stunning postgame fireworks display set to Latin-themed music. Saturday, June 6, 3:05 p.m. vs. Cleveland Father-Daughter Day First pitch – Bobby Frasor, NCAA Champion On this special day, all fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, father-figures and their daughters are invited to enjoy a day at the ballpark and watch the White Sox in action. In addition to specially priced tickets, fathers and daughters will have the opportunity to enjoy various activities at the Gate 1 plaza before walking around the field together in our Pregame Parade. Bobby Frasor, guard on the University of North Carolina’s National Championship basketball team, graduate of Brother Rice High School and native South Sider, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Sunday, June 7, 1:05 p.m. vs. Cleveland Kids Day – Costume Party Upper deck reserved tickets for kids age 13 and under (accompanied by an adult) are just $1 at the ticket window on the day of the game. Young Sox fans should wear their best costume to the game for a special Kids Day Costume Party, and children 13 and under who report to the Comcast Fundamentals Deck in costume will have a chance to pick a number from the prize drum while supplies last. watchtower41 Posted May 29, 2009 Share Posted May 29, 2009 with events and activities like these planned all summer, I can only hope they have all ticket windows open for the abundance of walk-ups that are surely going to head to the Cell in herds.
