BearSox
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 11:20 AM) http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...rtnerId=rss_cws I'm hoping we can see a straight up platoon between Castro and Pierzynski, as well as Castro getting some starts here and there to rest AJ (day game after a night game is the most likely scenario in which AJ will be rested). NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 11:26 AM) With all the games without a day off including a DH, it was imperative KW get a guy who could contribute offensively as a back-up C ASAP. Not having to give up much and not having to pick up money was a great move. My only questions about him are injuries and this: Castro is married with three children, and resides in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. In November 2004 he was charged for a rape that allegedly occurred in a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania hotel room on August 28, 2003. On November 29, he pleaded no-contest to reduced misdemeanor indecent assault charges and was sentenced to a year of probation. Where did you find that? Not something I am happy to see. BearSox
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 11:49 AM) Where did you find that? Not something I am happy to see. It's on his wiki page. Not something anyone likes to see, but hopefully that's in the past. He's been incident free (at least I think) since then, and that was 5 years ago. Dick Allen
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 11:49 AM) Where did you find that? Not something I am happy to see. Wiki. I remember he was accused up rape. I just figured since he was playing it must have been a false charge, but obviously if he pled, you have to believe something went down that shouldn't have. Harry Chappas
He should catch Gavin Floyd every time he pitches as well as the day game after a night game.
