Ishmookie
it looks better than wall but instead of that "green vine" in center fiels why don't they just plant a big bush and carve the sox logo into it. and put something else like wood chips or something on top of the green walls. the renovations look good but there are too many colors. they're gonna put a warehouse in the back of rf in 2 years like camden yards. CubKilla
If we win and show some passion, they will come. We have to win to draw fans. It's been that way forever. I disagree. There was never this attendance talk about Chicago until Jerry's Folley was constructed at 35th and Veeck Dr. Once the newness wore off and the '97 Strike took place, USCF has fought to draw fans. Even in 2000, when the Sox had a first place team, fans didn't particularly come out to USCF (Comiskey) in droves.
clujer420
numbers don't add - you telling us we had a presold 26,000? Yep. But that's standard on a Fireworks Night. They should have fireworks every night.

That's pretty good, no?
CubKilla
Oops. The Strike was in '94. White Flag Trade was in '97. We've had so many good things happen to this franchise thanks to JR that I sometimes confuse dates and seasons

I'm not disputing that number, but I'd be shocked if the Sox drew that many fans during 2000. I, for one, went to a few "teen" thousand attendance games in August and September back in 2000. I remember thinking to myself that the team is winning but no one is coming out to watch.

IlliniKrush
One of the worst ballpark features of PNC is the plain green wall for the batters eye, it really sticks out like a sore thumb. Ivy is definitely better than a plain wall, and i'm not gonna be unhappy about it because the Cubs have it. More teams have it now anyway. Half price night after taking 3/4 from Detroit...any guesses for tonight?
