fathom
The good news is we face a LHP tomorrow, so Anderson will be starting. Wise's days with the Sox are definitely numbered.
Jimbo's Drinker
We may as well hit the pitcher, Wise has such a looping, crap swing. Get him out of here, he is not a celebrity.

fathom
Why does Hawk say we've played the tough part of the schedule? We haven't played NYY or Boston, and we haven't visited Minnesota yet.

Paint it Black
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 08:29 PM) Why does Hawk say we've played the tough part of the schedule? We haven't played NYY or Boston, and we haven't visited Minnesota yet. Although I agree with you about NYY and Boston, in April and May it seemed like they had a s*** load of road games. They knew that if they survived the first two months at .500 with the division the way it was, they would be in good shape. Extended homestand with the weathering warming could be a great mix. The Ginger Kid
kudos to mazzaro for drawing the sox in his first MLB start. He'll get shelled in his next one, but he'll always have chicago.

We're a slightly above average team that has a bad bench. When we get too many bench players into the lineup, our lineup really suffers. We have 3 bench players starting tonight, for example. We're playing good baseball, and just need to go out and win the next 2.

Meh I expected something like this. The pitching has been coming around which is a good sign. Detroit looks better than I thought they would be, but there still is a possibility of winning a bad division.

Buehrle>Wood
I will be a happy man when I don't ever have to see Betemit, or Gobble again. We have already done well by getting rid of Lilli and Broadway. Let's hope the other two don't last another week.

This kid has good stuff, just doesn't have the command he will have as a seasoned major leaguer. They should be able to get into deep counts and put a hurting on him. TheBigHurt
It just might be selective memory, but is it just me or do the white sox not hit mediocre pitchers they have never seen before? It's true. In fact in recent memory I can't remember the last time the Sox DIDN'T get rocked by a rookie or guy in his first start, and I'm SERIOUS.
fathom
Not quite sure why Colon's in the game. He looks to be laboring, as his release is quite odd right now. His velocity is awful tonight, and really worrisome.
