elrockinMT
What about Hummel? The guy isn't doing too bad in AAA...I'm sure the org. hasn't forgotten about him.. Hummel might well be there too next year if we don't sign Valentin.

CubKilla
Ahem! Looks like Jerry read this before writing his lineup! TOLD YA SO!!! Yeah. He's a HUGE 4-5 in 5 AB's this week. Bench whoever you need to JM. Just make sure TG plays. Get the f*** out of here. Yeah..... TG's hot..... for about 2 or 3 games. Then he goes on a 0-for streak that justifies his average that makes him a bench player. Whatever. You're all a bunch of rubbers if you want TG in the everyday starting line-up. CubKilla
does graffy owe you money.... No. I'm just a guy that said the same crap last year when he got hot for a game or two only to be shamed over the next 7-10 games while TG played 2B after Durham got traded and before DJ got called up. He batted a little over .200 during that stretch. There's a reason why TG is a bench player.
BridgeportHeather
All I said is that I want Graffy getting more PLAYING TIME, which he truly deserves! I was glad to see him in the lineup today. He should make at least one start a week for him to retain his sharpness.

CubKilla
my point is why are you hating on tony g.? I'm not hating. I'm just pointing out that anyone who thinks that TG is gonna maintain his 5-7 pace over the past week is sorely mislead. I appreciate what he has done. But to bench, R Alomar, PK, Thomas, or Daubach.... just to play TG everyday..... is ludicrous.

elrockinMT
correct I think Graffy will get two starts a week minimum (1 at SS and one at 2B and/or 3B) will subsitute in the mid to late innings and PH. He is very valuable in that role.

I wouldnt want him starting over any of those people, but over Crede and Valentin once a week for each, hell yeah. Those two are about as consistent as TG anyways...they are both hitting under 250. Whats the love affair with Crede and JosE6?
IlliniKrush
He better get the start tonight, that's all i have to say Maybe he'll start stealing some more time from Joe, who knows
Jim Fainter
I'm sure Tony will start at short against a lefty tonight. Plus, They have to take away some AB's from Jose, because he has that deal in his contract that gives him a $5MM option if he gets 575 Plate appearances this year. He is very close to being on schedule for it. I don't think they want to be put in that position.
