whitesoxmanager
Jim Thome is actually shooting the opposite way. It has taken him a couple of years..but I definitely see that he is trying to lay off the curves and taking the ball the opposite way. Way to go big guy. Harry Chappas
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 04:10 PM) Beckham just missed that. WOW. Not to sound like Hawk but Beckham seems to have an idea at the plate and hits the ball hard.

chetkincaid
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 04:11 PM) BA looks a lot better. I would love it if BA could keep is average up around .280-.300 for the season and wouldn't choke in situational hitting.
Harry Chappas
QUOTE (rudylaw @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 04:13 PM) BA has swung the bat a little better the past few games. It would be nice to see him getting on base a little more. Inge robbed him a couple of times and the ball he hit last night was crushed.
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 05:13 PM) Did Beckham have a hit or fly out deep? Fly out deep. REALLY DEEP. I was 100% sure that was gone when he hit it. The ball makes a special sound when it hits his bat.

ThunderBolt
Is anyone a bit nervous to see how Ozzie is going to manage the team when we go to the NL? I imagine he’ll get a little bunt and run happy. Instead of playing too our strengths of which those two are neither. fathom
It's crazy that Dye only has 2 homers with RISP all season. I wonder how many of his homers have come on curves compared to homers this year? Edited June 11, 2009 by fathom
