ThunderBolt
Hell of a finish. Great to win another series.
CaliSoxFanViaSWside
Great win. Wish they played this way everyday. Timely hitting, great bullpen. Beckham hitting. BA making a great diving catch. Even Mark hitting a bomb. Was funny to see Thome squaring around to bunt in the 9th before he got the walk which was the eventual winning run with Richard running for him. Hawk came down hard on the Blackjack blog about Beckham earlier in the game.
BigEdWalsh
Ya gotta love interleague games. Buehrle homers. Clayton Richard scores the winning run. Thome attempts to bunt (for a hit!). Weirdness...hell yes! Interesting to note also, Thornton is now tied for second on the staff for most wins.
SoxFan562004
very good game and series for the Sox. MB brought the bat and some good timely hitting by others. Great to see the pen shut it down today
ThunderBolt
We didn't even have to bunt once!

Reddy
i don't care if ozzie can't pronounce beckham. bacon is what you'd call a guy like corky miller (if it somehow pertained), not the future face of a franchise.
shipps
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 14, 2009 -> 05:16 PM) Relax, it's a nickname. Those are the BEST nicknames anyways...the ones that make people ask why do they call him that?
Baines3
I'm starting to think that things are heading in the right direction. Go White Sox.
BearSox
Did we have more offensive production out of pitchers than we did from our center fielder this series? That's sad... Maybe we should platoon Buehrle and Richard out in CF when they aren't pitching...?
BearSox
QUOTE (Baines3 @ Jun 14, 2009 -> 05:27 PM) I'm starting to think that things are heading in the right direction. Go White Sox. Don't get your hopes up... A lot of us were feeling positive after that Toronto series. Also, we are facing an NL Team.
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 14, 2009 -> 07:01 PM) The team now knows about it to, or at least AJ does. We played the soundbite for him a few weeks ago, he hadn't heard it yet, and got a kick out of it. Well, Ozzie was the inspiration for "fung is winning and winning is fung"

SoxAce
HELL YES! Didn't see half the game, but nice to see AJ given the 3-0 green light, Buehrle homering.. Gordo/SLAYER having a 2 RBI game, and of course our pen.
