Buehrle>Wood
I f***ing hate that song. We may have just turned around the Cubs season with that.
Soxbadger
Well if you put your team in a position to lose, they are going to lose. To bad for Floyd, because if thats an AL game he starts the 8th for sure.

WilliamTell
I've been eternally numb this whole season, so this doesn't really surprise me. I wonder what ESPN's GameCast listed the Cubs winning percentage going into the 8th. Maybe 2%?

chetkincaid
I knew it... I hate that f***ing song. We'll see you at the Cell b****es. Now the guy across the street is going to be flying that f***ing blue W again. I feel like walking over and punching him in the face. Well said...if the Cubs turn this thing around, I wonder if Ozzie/Linebrink will get playoff shares?

caulfield12
It seems the only pitchers who really have balls on this team are the starters and Bobby Jenks when he has the lead. Otherwise, the bullpen looks GREAT on paper but can't get the job done when it's time to put your foot down on the neck of the other team and crush them. We're going to have our moments in the second half and Beckham and Getz will continue to be fun to watch, but we're at best a .500 team.

winninguglyin83
no printable words for this one. four outs to go with a four-run lead. gotta win games like that. Now watch them go on a roll.
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 03:52 PM) are you kidding? Because it's really not, worse case scenario is they're 4 out after tonight. They lost a bad game, it happens He's said it multiple times now, he's just angry. So am I. But the season is far from over. And I've decided that while Ozzie should have taken out Linebrink, certainly after Lee's HR, I put most of the blame on Getz and particularly Linebrink. SoxFan562004
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 03:53 PM) Maybe Linebrink shouldn't pitch in close games at Wrigley anymore. with how he's throwing he shouldn't pitch in any close games, but 4 runs isn't close, Ozzie should have pulled him earlier. If Poreda is going to be up here, he has to have a chance at the Linebrink role
BigSqwert
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 03:53 PM) Maybe Linebrink shouldn't pitch in close games at Wrigley anymore. The way he's used so much you'd think we had Sandy Coufax on our roster.
Brian
I probably defend Ozzie more than anyone on this board, but what he did, or didn't do today, was non-defendable...if that's a word.
