Brian
I always watched when I was younger cuz it was this big tournament in the middle of summer. It is probably the one tennis tournament I follow every year. Plus, I like watching Maria Sharapova play.

That's what I thought. He doesn't have much of a run left IMO.
Brian
QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jun 29, 2009 -> 01:47 PM) Go A-Rod :usa :usa :usa :usa I would like the kid to win, but seems he is all hype. If he loses to Hewitt, he should be ashamed of himself. Williams sisters are looking strong.

If he loses to Hewitt, he should be ashamed of himself. Williams sisters are looking strong. Well to be fair... he has the misfortune of playing in an era with (perhaps) the greatest tennis player ever. That being said, Andy doesn't have a real well-rounded game. I can't help myself though... I love to watch the guy play tennis. Also, his new wife is an absolute fox.
ChiSox_Sonix
So the 4 top seeded women are into the semi-finals. Serena is seeded #2 while Venus is seeded #3. Explain to me how they aren't playing each other now? It's stupid if they did this on purpose to try and set up the "all sister" final again. Brian
QUOTE (DC23MVP @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 04:59 PM) Wimbledon has been a huge disappointment so far. As soon as Nadal dropped out, I knew the mens bracket would be dull. Andy Murray is a nice story and if Roddick can beat him and make the finals, that would be big as well. Michelle Oudin was a nice story as well.
danman31
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 11:32 AM) Serena is seeded #2 while Venus is seeded #3. Explain to me how they aren't playing each other now? It's stupid if they did this on purpose to try and set up the "all sister" final again. If the 1 played the 4 and the 2 played the 3 every tournament you would have the same people playing each other all the time. It's a random draw and besides, seeds in tennis are fluid enough that it doesn't matter all that much.
DBAHO
Roddick a set up, and just broke Hewitt to get back on serve in the 2nd. I think Hewitt will take a set here, but Roddick will win in 4.
CanOfCorn
QUOTE (dbaho @ Jul 1, 2009 -> 11:06 AM) Roddick a set up, and just broke Hewitt to get back on serve in the 2nd. I think Hewitt will take a set here, but Roddick will win in 4. And all of Australia now hates dbaho. What...? No mention of Tommy Haas? He's my underdog favorite. Would love to see him make the finals. Probably won't happen, but if he (and/or Andy Murray) can make it and the Williams sisters play each other, I think we have a damn good Wimbledon. MurcieOne
Roddick just took a 2-1 set lead after another tie break. Hewitt melted down in this last tie break and lost 7-1.

DBAHO
I don't think Roddick can beat Murray coming off a big 5 setter, but you never know. It's 90% likely that Federer is going to win anyways, so it's all moot.

Brian
Not a fan of either one, but hope Venus wins. I think Serena is a horrible loser and until she can lose with gratiousness, hope she never wins.
