Omogrosso continues to struggle. Greene has a .917 ops in Kanny. I would think that he has little to prove in Low A anymore. Greene, Carter, Sauer have a High A sighting waiting. Hopefully they can make room for those three.

Andy.. two years.. that's way too long buddy. :)

I've said it over and over, W-S has an open roster spot. It's been open for more than two weeks. Even with all the movement lately, it hasn't been filled.

I think the holdup is for the rest of the guys to sign and report to their clubs. In all likely hood, we'll see Mitchell (along with porbably Phegley and maybe another 1 or 2 players) start out in Kanny with Greene moving up to W-S to take that open roster spot.

Just noticed that Hudson made BA's prospect hotsheet last Friday.

Team: Double-A Birmingham (Southern)

Age: 22

Why He's Here: 1-0, 2.25 ERA, 12 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 5 BB, 16 SO

The Scoop: Chicago's system has improved as much any organization this year, and Hudson is one of the big reasons. Hudson, an '08 fifth-rounder out of Old Dominion, began the season in low Class A—now he's mowing down hitters in Double-A. Promoted to Birmingham for a June 20 start, Hudson has struck out more than a batter an inning in each of his three stops this season.

The bold is soooooo nice to hear. Was it really just a few years ago that Lance Broadway and Ryan Sweeney were our top pitching/hitting prospects?
