So, Chad Billingsley hadn't given up more than 3 ER in a start all year. Gave up 5.

Randy Wells hasn't given up more than 2 ER in a start this year...

I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...YOU! WHITE! SOX!

Nothing special about Wells' stuff. Command good, though.

That is what scares me. We struggle against 88-90 command guys, but can hit Bills, one of the best starters in the NL.

Wells gave up four earned runs against the twins on june 12th. Billingsley also gave up four earned runs on may 24th against the angels.

Fields apparently only plays against lefties and when Becks needs a break. I really like the changes i've seen in his swing and I wanted to see him get more at-bats.

You would think he would match up well against the softer throwing Wells too...

Wells isn't exactly Jim Parque. I've seen him get his fastball up to 94 mph this year. With his command, he'd have no problem throwing 92 mph past Fields above the belt. I'm happy Fields isn't playing, and shockingly wish Wise was playing for Anderson.
