danman31
JPN beat me to it on FutureSox We assumed it for a while, but still exciting to see Phegley start his pro career.
BearSox
Hopefully he advances quickly. If he can work on his lateral movement and quickness behind the plate, he could be a very solid catching option, especially if he hits like he is capable of. fathom
I think the more important part is him showing he can hit with a wooden bat. That's a big question mark with him.
southsider2k5
It will be interesting to see how quickly he trails Flowers, or if Flowers starts to play another position at all.
danman31
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 27, 2009 -> 03:22 PM) I think the more important part is him showing he can hit with a wooden bat. That's a big question mark with him. Yeah, he was so-so in the Cod League. He was an all-star and then got hurt. Didn't play last summer. Not much in the way of wood bat success, but in my search to see what he did in the Cape I found this BA article. Phegley looking to prove he's an all-around catcher
