chw42
Danks has a 0.86 ERA against the Cubs in his career. CUBS SLAYER.
SI1020
I just love that big beautiful L sign, and this made my weekend too. Things looked so grim on Friday. That's the Linebrink I want to see out there. Danks had the Cubs for lunch twice.
whitesoxbrian
Slayer went 4-10 with a walk, a sac bunt, 2 runs, and a walk-off RBI in the series. Way to go, team. Edited June 28, 2009 by whitesoxbrian

Heads22
Stone on Twitter: Its the complete cub experience-zambrano comes unglued-bradley hits like stevie wonder-soriano loses ball in sun-cubs shutout 6-0.
knightni
Cubs ownership must have really messed with Stone.
shipps
Other than the sunburn I got from making the typical mistake of not re-applying sunblock it was an awesome game to be at today. Only a couple fights that i seen and for the most part all fans had some unexpected class today.

southsider2k5
They really owned the Cubs this weekend, dispite how badly they played in the defensive and mental aspects of the game this weekend. The Cubs just suck right now.
ThunderBolt
Danks might not rhyme with Ace, but it’s damn close enough. I don’t know when that change went from plus to phenomenal, but it’s incredible now.
The Ginger Kid
Sox 9-5 since that horrendous home stand to open the month. Showing signs of life. If CQ can make it back...
greg775
The Sox hitters really stroked some hits off Zambrano today. It could have been an embarrassing outing for him, rather than just a bad one. I was so impressed with Danks getting out of the jam in that one inning, the sixth or seventh. Really great job by him. Hopefully Linebrink is stepping up. He appears to be. Lexi to Beckham for the force out. Great play on both ends. Dye is fun to watch bat when he has it going, which is most of the time. If Zambrano was trying to hit Pods, that was dumb. Coincidence or not, our bats woke up after that.
everafan
Last night I was at Great America. I was wearing a Sox cap and a guy comes up to me and asked if I knew the score. I said the last time I checked it was 7-6 Cubs. He gave me a real aggressive fist pump and screeched something like "in your face" - so much that my husband stepped in front of me. I just thought to myself instant karma's gonna get him - and it did.
greg775
What an asshole Cub fan to do that to a woman. I wonder if your husband thought he might have to punch the punk. Of course your hubby would have gotten arrested probably. Edited June 29, 2009 by greg775
whitesoxfan101
I know the Cubs ownership situation has been a hot topic in Chicago, but I think it's settled in that John Danks is the true owner of the Chicago Cubs. Just a great job all around today by the Sox, but especially by him.

iamshack
QUOTE (scenario @ Jun 28, 2009 -> 11:23 PM) Kudos to JD who passed Bill Melton for 7th all-time on the Sox homerun list. Great news. Anyone who puts Melton farther down the list is ok by me.
