It would be the smart decision in the short run, but it seems like the Sox want him to get reps at 3rd right now. Hopefully Alexei didn't break the tip of his finger, but it looks that way. I'd guess he might be gone up to a month if that's the case. If he's out I say we still need grinder Getz in the lineup. So it's Nix at ss; beckham at 3b and getz at 2b.
