High Mileage
He left a tie game after 7 innings, 8 hits, 4 runs, 3 earned, 0 walks, and 7 strikeouts. The bullpen went on to lose the game for the Royals. He is 2-0 in 3 starts (1.23 ERA) against the White Sox this season, and 4 runs (3 earned) in 22 innings, while giving up 17 hits, striking out 24, and walking 3. BaseballNick
In today's Sun-Times, Cowley mentions that Greinke has plunked 29 batters over his career, with nine of them being White Sox. He's only hit five other players from AL Central teams. I guess he just doesn't have his good control when he faces the Sox.

southsider2k5
We need a blueprint of that last time we went against Grienke. Work him over, foul off lots of pitches, and work deep into counts.

Balta1701
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 02:35 PM) No Alexei again... interesting. The post yesterday said Ozzie wasn't sure if he could play today or not. Usually when we hear something like that the player gets an extra day. I wouldn't be surprised if he was out tomorrow too, Ozzie does tend to be cautious.
