joeynach
Seriously what the hell is up with this guy. He wasn't pitching that awful, I believe his ERA was around 4. Then all of a sudden he goes to the DL with swelling in his knee. Since then I have heard absolutely nothing about him or his situation. Anyone got anything? Princess Dye
The numbers were real misleading No movement on the fastball and nothing but the fastball
chisoxfan09
Yeah, Princess is right basically, another has been off the scrap heap we thought could be more than a shadow of his former self and the last few starts he basically threw batting practice. He doesn´t have anything left in the tank.
chisoxfan09
I thinnk the theory was was spots 1,2, & 3 were locked up but we wanted to try Colon/Contreras for the 4th spot and groom Richard into the 5th. That was my take early in the season but it has certainly changed and for the better. At least for now.

Anyone got anything? He's down in Arizona... conditioning and working on pitches. I wouldn't be surprised to see him reappear later in the year. elmo9246
QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 01:26 PM) No fat or eating jokes yet? He's working on clearing out all the KFC's in the US... but in all seriousness his ERA was very misleading he could not pitch around errors and that led to way too many unearned runs
qwerty
QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 01:02 PM) The numbers were real misleading No movement on the fastball and nothing but the fastball His two seem was dancing all over the place for the majority of his starts this season. That reminds me of a story I heard out of cubs spring training a couple years ago where they couldnt find or get ahold of Daryle Ward apparently when they were about to have a game. Turns out he was like down the street eating a taco bell. Lol
ThunderBolt
According to Joe Cowley, as reported on Boers and Bernstein, KW has no clue as to the whereabouts of Bartolo Colon, who was supposed to make a start in Charlotte this week. I wonder if he’s pulling a similar stunt as Odalis Perez, where he wants to opt out or if this a legitimate concern.

Texsox
At his above average skill level, he was one of the best big game pitchers I've seen.
