Coomer is a creepy individual. He used to own batting cages in Lockport I believe, and no one that worked for him like him.

scenario
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 09:12 PM) Don't get me started on this. Not sure what you have to argue about... It was pretty freakin' obvious that the ump had Danks pitching into a postage stamp strikezone in that first inning.
iamshack
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 08:14 PM) I saw Coomer at a Sox/Cubs game at USCF a couple of years ago, cheering wildly for the Cubs. Well he played for them, didn't he? I remember several years ago when he was on the Cubs during the Crosstown Classic, they followed him with a camera from his house to the park in his minivan, into the park, etc. It was very queer. Needless to say, they guy had a few nice years as a hitter, but his talent for broadcasting isn't so special. He sounds worse than your drunk know-it-all friend in the bar.... greg775
Should we be pissed at Dotel for the inexcusable walk (you know he's gonna score) or the ump for not calling his badass inside pitch K three?

It was absolutely bulls*** by the umpire to take control of the game the way he did.
Dick Allen
If Richard gets moved to the bullpen, he could never be used in a situation like this. A bunt to him would be disasterous as he cannot throw the ball to first base.
