I like my nicknames to contain less than 4 syllables.

William "The Refrigerator" Perry, Charles "Round Mound of Rebound" Barkley, Red "Galloping Ghost" Grange, and Ted "The Splendid Splinter" Williams all say hello.

And Dominique "The Human Highlight Film" Wilkins says bonjour.

"Sudden" Sam McDowell, Juan "The Dominican Dandy" Marichal, Stan "The Man" Musial, Willie "The Say Hey Kid" Mays, Willie "Pops" Stargell, Leo "The Lip" Durocher, "Joltin'" Joe DiMaggio .... baseball used to be a gold mine for great nicknames. Sadly, it's a tradition that has gone by the wayside. All I can think of at this moment for current players is "Big Pappi".

Even Hawk has kinda stopped. Can't even remember the last guy he gave a moniker.

Now you just take the first letter of the person's first name and stick the first syllable of their last name on it.

"The Milkman" Herbert Perry was my favorite.

I laugh everytime I hear Kung Fu Panda and I can't think of any better.
