IITsox
QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Aug 22, 2009 -> 02:15 AM) Of course in your scenario only people responsible and that wanted too would have kids, so adopting wouldnt really be an option. How f***ed up would it be is the only reason you cant have your own kids is because as a child you were forced into a vasectomy? Adoption would still be an option- there would always be some stragglers: kids whose parents died in accidents, children from immigrants perhaps, etc. An adopted child raised from infancy is just as much your own as one of your own blood. Perhaps that is another unpopular opinion of mine, but I firmly believe it. Why make new children in a world where there are so many waiting for caring homes starting the day they are born? lostfan
That bolded part isn't unpopular at all. At least among people who matter.
GoodAsGould
QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 22, 2009 -> 04:24 PM) That bolded part isn't unpopular at all. At least among people who matter. Thats a bit extreme, and I dont have anything against adoption, if im financially sound and have a kid or two of my own might even look into it. But, there is a difference between having a kid of your own and adopting one. Not to say I wouldnt love them both equally as possible if i had one of each but just saying there is a difference. jasonxctf
any unauthorized individual who brings a gun to a presidential speaking event should be automatically arrested, jailed for 10 days, serve 100 community service hours and pay a $10k fine. sh*t you cant even fly a non-commercial plane within 20 miles of a presidential speaking event, why can you bring an AK47? SoxFan562004
not political, but I know this is an unpopular opinion. The Sports Guy on ESPN.com is overrated. His early stuff was good, but he retreads too much of his stuff. Someone put together a website where you could mad lib style a column of his and the end result isn’t that funny because it’s strikingly similar to 90% of his columns. Then his “serious” or “heartfelt” columns are kind of journalism 101 and too long. Also, some of the stuff about him living poor etc. during Pedro's run in Boston is laughable because he is a CT Prep school kid who went to Holy Cross. It just smacks of the song "Common People" by Pulp. Carolla told a story on Loveline about how he guess he was his friend because there's no other word to describe their relationshop but he couldn't really relate with him because on his 16th b-day his step-dad gave him a Porsche... I guess that sums it up for me. Edited August 25, 2009 by SoxFan562004
HuskyCaucasian
I believe you should become ineligible for Medicaid if you are eligible for and decline your employers health insurance. specifically if you are living at home, not paying any rent and have the government pay for all your food and child care... like my sister-in-law is doing. it's not that she cant afford it... she just doesnt want to pay for it. Ok, sorry, had to vent a little. Edited September 8, 2009 by Athomeboy_2000
