Princess Dye
Heh, with Buehrle pitching inside to Pujols, the STL love for Mark came to an abrupt halt
ChWRoCk2
Kinda surprised Buehrle is pitching given he just pitched on Sunday.
Brian
QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 08:37 PM) Kinda surprised Buehrle is pitching given he just pitched on Sunday. It's his side day.
claydude14
So is that it for the token White Sox appearance?
chw42
Now why didn't Mark do that on Sunday more often? Think he might get one more inning if his spot doesn't come up?
SoxFanForever
Nice 1-2-3 inning for Mark.

chw42
QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 08:31 PM) Gotta love it when a guy who doesn't belong in the game, Josh Hamilton, screws it up for the AL. The casual baseball fans see the good stats of the 5 hitters before him. Then they see Josh Hamilton's numbers flash across the screen... .243 6 HR 24 RBI Some people at home must be going, "WTF?" bjm676
Time for the AL to take the lead for good this inning. Get Mark the W.

chw42
Have any of you noticed that in every one of the MLB commercials so far, there's a White Sox appearance in them? That usually never happens.
Brian
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 08:40 PM) The casual baseball fans see the good stats of the 5 hitters before him. Then they see Josh Hamilton's numbers flash across the screen... .243 6 HR 24 RBI Some people at home must be going, "WTF?" And only played in 40 games. Maddon is gonna be mismanaging this game soon if it stays tied. Using pitchers for 1 inning. 3 in a row.
Cali
WHy did Manuel use 2 of his closers so early? Franklin and Hoffman done already. Better hope Bell and K-Rod can hold a lead....if they get one

Steve9347
What a nice first-half of the All-Star Game. It may be in St. Louis, but you wouldn't know it with all the White Sox !

kev211
QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 09:34 PM) Saving starters for possible extra innings. Maddon is managing his pitchers the opposite. That's not smart though because if a situation gets tough they wont have a closer to bring in to end it. I don't think theres a starter in the league who can come into a hairy situation and pitch out of it. They just don't do it and are only used to fixing their own messes. I believe the NL has broxton, and K-rod left. Better hope this doesnt go extras, and better hope a pitcher doesnt create a mess.
