Rex Hudler
Great Falls White Sox center-fielder Ricardo Nanita's hitting streak came to an end at 30 games last night. Nanita was 0-for-3 with two strikeouts before being hit by a pitch in the eighth inning. Great Falls had five hits in the first inning and score six times on their way to a 9-7 win over the Missoula Osprey. Nanita’s streak is a Pioneer League record and the longest in professional baseball this season. He fell one game short of tying Kevin Hoopers' 31-game hitting streak last year for the second longest in the National Association this century. southsider2k5
Ventura had a 58 gamer in college, but some D3 kid out did him. Joe D had a 56 gamer for the Yanks. I don't know if there was a longer one in the minors or Japan or something..

LOL I knew Dimaggio had a 61 game hit streak, just didn't know the club, so I assumed it was with the Yanks. Right system, though.
