Until this year, I don't see how Haren has ever had ace-type production. Someone enlighten me.

That's why the DBacks gave up 6 prospects to get him. He just may be a top 3 pitcher in the major leagues, and to acquire him would pretty much take out your future core. That's why the DBacks traded for him - they felt they had their future set - and then signed him to a very affordable extension. It burnt out on them.

Their GM has said they are not looking to deal him without a similar package as to what they gave up. That would mean goodbye to Flowers, Danks, Hudson, Viciedo, Carter, and Upchurch, and that's just me figuring out names without including Alexei or Beckham, two players I imagine the Sox won't trade. I'd make the deal without a second thought, but I'm not apart of the White Sox organization.

The Red Sox are still pursuing Victor Martinez and offered a package of Justin Masterson, Michael Bowden and an outfield prospect.

The Indians turned it down as they are still adamant they want Clay Buchholz. Still, the fact that the Sox were willing to deal Masterson, Bowden and another prospect suggests that a trade may not be far off if the Sox are willing to upgrade the third piece.

per Rotoworld, of course

So would you rather have Victor Martinez in the division, or have Michael Bowden in it? I know you locals want him away from the Indians, I just know it.

would suck with Granderson and Bowden in the division. Next thing you know, Jeff Jordan'll get signed by the Twins (get it, lol, his dad, lol)

Poreda, Richard, Torres, Anderson, Fields, Dotel for Haren? :pray

apparently your XBox is working. I see 1 good piece, 1 valueable pieces, 3 throw-ins, and salary.

Saw the Reds are officially "sellers".

I'm not sure the interest in Harang as he has not been the same pitcher as he once was. Someone on here I believe pointed out Baker through him on like 2 days rest and cited that as the plank he dove off.

I'm curious at what it would cost to get a veteran arm like Cordero.

He has a big contract so I can't really see us being players unless Jocketty picks up about half of whats owed next season and they take a hit on what they want in relationship to the prospects.

He is owed about 28-30 million through 2011. With a 12 million option/1mil buyout in 2012. If Walt took about 10-15 mill of it, would it be worth dealing a Fields + something for him? Would they even take it?

Personally - unless Jenks is on his way out then I don't know if its smart to be spending 6-10 mill a year on a setup man but if Jenks is bait potentially then I'd be all for it.

Other guys available - Arroyo, Bailey needs a COS, Weathers, Rhodes, and I'd give a good portion of my left _______ for Yonder Alonso. I know he isn't available but I'm just stating that I'd like to get him especially with Votto beasting in his way.

Joe Mauer isn't too happy about the Twins not doing much.

Apparently, Smith doesn't even want to give up some prospects and spend a million on Orlando Cabrera.

But then again, who would?

Cabrera would be a big upgrade for them, and it is his time of year. Plus you know he would love to stick it to the Sox.

Let's just hope this trade doesn't go down during this series.
