OilCan
Linky: http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/news/ar...sp&sid=t247 AAP: http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...p;#entry1955909 In his first start since the All-Star break, Ely retired the first 13 Mobile batters he faced before Chris Rahl reached on a throwing error with one out in the fifth inning. Rahl would come around to score later in the inning on the aid of another Barons error, but Ely kept the no-hitter in tact until Pedro Ciriaco broke up the bid with a single in the sixth inning. Ely earned his fourth-consecutive win in the start, improving his mark to 8-1. A Southern League All Star selection, he is now second in the league in wins, fourth in strikeouts (83) and eighth in ERA (3.31).
BearSox
Ely has very quietly been having a very good year. IIRC, he had a really solid first half last year but struggled in the second half.
