Capn12
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 10:23 PM) Ole Miss is the worst #4 team in the history of college football. Overrated? Very much. But lets give credit where it is due. Eric Norwood is a beast of a defensive player in the SEC.
whitesoxbrian
Jevan Sneed just seems overmatched out there. I'd say he's barely a first round prospect. Dexter McCluster, on the other hand, is a f***ing stud. I'm shocked that I don't see him going in the first 3 rounds of a mock draft I read that gets updated on a weekly basis. I'm trying to figure out how someone becomes a first round prospect if they are overmatched. I've never even heard of him though so I'm not saying you're wrong. knightni
http://finance.yahoo.com/banking-budgeting...od=taxes-filing ESPN commentator Kirk Herbstreit, who also lives in Upper Arlington, let firefighters burn his home in 2004. South Carolina would be awfully good if the Ole' Ballcoach could put together anything resembling a consistently respectable offense because that defense is pretty good (the Georgia game notwithstanding). zenryan
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 25, 2009 -> 10:36 PM) Yeah, but Ole Miss is still one of the more overrated #4 teams of recent memory. South Carolina would be awfully good if the Ole' Ballcoach could put together anything resembling a consistently respectable offense because that defense is pretty good (the Georgia game notwithstanding). USC started the season ranked 4th and they lost on the road as a 20 point favorite while Ole Miss lost on the road only as a 4.5 point favorite. Maybe Ole Miss was overrated a bit but thats what happens when there's only 3 really good teams(Florida,Texas,Alabama) and the rest is basically a crapshoot. Look at my Hurricanes, they went from unranked to 9th in just 3 weeks. They should be around the 15 range but the lack of great teams have made them 9 in one poll. They'll probably lose tomorrow and there will be another team ranked there that shouldnt be.

And I wouldn't be so dismissive of Miami's chances tomorrow. Even with 3 starting d lineman now out for the Canes, Virginia Tech still has major offensive issues and Jacory is still great. The weather and that stadium will both help Tech though.

Plus the guy who did start was the starter coming into fall camp. Lane Stadium during the day doesnt scare me but the wet field does.

Yeah the 50's and heavy rain forecast should definitely scare you guys. You have the better team, so the neutralizing effect of bad weather helps Tech. In addition to that, with as young and south Florida based as your team is, I wonder how many guys have ever even played in weather that "cold" on Miami's roster. What happened?....haters An Indiana WR and a Michigan DB caught the ball together, went down to the ground, and the Michigan DB pulled the ball away. I believe the ruling is possession stays with the offense. One of the refs ruled it an interception, then there was an official review of the play and the call stood as an interception. I believe the ruling is possession stays with the offense. One of the refs ruled it an interception, then there was an official review of the play and the call stood as an interception. If that is what happened, even as a Michigan fan, it sounds like a blown call. I have never seen the ball given to the defense if they both have their hands on it. I have to see it to see how long both had the ball before Michigan taking it away.

whitesoxfan99
Zook and Juice need to go. Zook did a good job building the talent back up for Illinois but he has to be one of the worst five coaches in college football come game day. Time for him to go and bring in a real coach. As much as I think Zook makes a lot of dumb coaching decisions, it's on the players to get their heads out of their asses. And Juice is a great athlete but a terrible qb. He hasn't gotten any better since his freshman year. He plays in one good game and gets people to believe in his "skill." the team should have been embarassed by the mizzoui loss. Guess they weren't embarassed enough.

Jenksismyhero
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 26, 2009 -> 06:30 PM) He improved a lot from his freshman to his sophomore year and then has regressed since then. And the fact that Illinois has consistently had stupid penalties, bad turnovers, and just flat out missed assignments the last two years is a direct indictment of the coaching staff. He had mendenhall to carry the team his soph year. He has never been able to make the simple throws. And I agree Zook shares some of the blame, but he can't throw int's, choke up fumbles, commit holding penalties, etc.
bigruss
I would really like to see what Charest can do for the Illini, from all Ive heard he has a fantastic arm and we really do have a lot of talent at the WR position. They havent performed yet up to expectations but I would like to see what someone other than Juice and McGhee have to offer.
fathom
This Purdue coach is so outmatched. Every game I've watched from them this year, he seems to have absolutely no clue about what he's doing.
