caulfield12
The best thing we can say is that we're making Verlander work hard...73 pitches through 4, so he should make it into the 7th, but will more likely be gone in the 6th. GoSox05
I'd like to see the Sox chase Verlander out by the 6th. Get to that bullpen.

southsideirish71
I hate that side arm stuff from the Count. When he stays over the top a lot, he gets better velocity on his fastball and his fork drops like crazy. When he drops down, his pitches flatten out and get hit hard. Keep over the top Jose. BigSqwert
A .248 and .259 hitter will attempt to get the runner at 3rd in.
chw42
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 01:15 PM) I hate that side arm stuff from the Count. When he stays over the top a lot, he gets better velocity on his fastball and his fork drops like crazy. When he drops down, his pitches flatten out and get hit hard. Keep over the top Jose. Problem with it is that he does it too much. It gets predictable and as you said, he's not as effective with his stuff from that angle.

chw42
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 01:17 PM) What happened? Following on gameday. Raburn popped it up down the line. Dye, Konerko, and Getz converged. Getz and Konerko couldn't get it because they were playing up a bit. Dye just jogged after the ball and it dropped for a double. And Raburn just stole third. WTF? jphat007
Yah,w e had our shots. Way too many people left on base and in scoring position. The middle of our lineup better pick their s*** up.
